A bit about Tom…

Tom is a former professional international rugby player and applies his knowledge of performing in an elite sporting environment to his style of personal training. Tom truly believes in trusting the process and not chasing results; he loves all things to do with technique and form, and a commitment to showing up and always trying your best. As Founder of Tom Johnson Lifestyle and recently appointed Wellbeing Director at Winslade Park, he has a big focus on wellbeing and all that it encompasses.

Q. What’s your best advice on how to keep a healthy body and mind?

Concentrate on your sleep, this is the foundation that enables you to make tough choices at the right time.

Q. Where is your favourite place to replenish balance and a clear head?

Mount Folly Farm,  Bigbury– amazing Devon coastal views, fresh sea air and limited mobile phone signal!

Q. Favourite exercise and why?

The squat – because it gives a good all round indication of your physical health.

Q. What does exercise mean to you?

I find it gives me a resilience which helps me with all other areas of my life, both mentally and physically.
