Winslade Park Public Consultation

About the Public Consultations

The first Winslade Park public consultation was hosted by Burrington Estates on Monday 3rd February at The Village Hall in Clyst St Mary. This provided the first opportunity for members of the public to see the exciting plans for the redevelopment of Winslade Park as a wellness community on the outskirts of Exeter.

Subsequent sessions will take place at The Village Hall in Clyst St Mary on:

  • Thursday 6th February 2020 from 1pm until 5pm, and
  • Saturday 8th February 2020 from 9am until 12pm

The events give an opportunity to view our exciting proposals for Winslade Park, showing how we will make the most of the wonderful park and its open spaces.

The drop-in sessions also offer a chance to meet with and direct any questions to the Burrington Estates’ team.

Creating a Wellness Community

Winslade Park Exeter will offer exceptional modern offices, stunning, well-appointed houses for sale, and a comprehensive range of leisure facilities and lifestyle activities. Burrington Estates is committed to creating a wellness community where people and business can flourish and succeed. Wellness and community are central to the stunning development set in 86 acres of stunning parkland and with the historic Winslade Manor at its heart. The campus will benefit from second-to-none leisure facilities, fitness trails through the Winslade parkland, personal training and community fitness activities.

The ambitious plans for the redevelopment of the historic Stables complex as a lifestyle and leisure centre were unveiled at the first Winslade Park public consultation giving members of the local community their first opportunity to see the exceptional facilities once again being opened up for public use. The range of facilities on the Winslade Park Exeter site that will benefit the wider community are likely to include a crèche, play facilities, beauty facilities, spa, cricket and football pitches, tennis courts, well maintained – and publicly accessible – parkland, a restaurant and café.

Winslade Park Offices

The first Winslade Park public consultation offered the first glimpse of how the offices might look after they have been redeveloped. Winslade Park offices will offer the best quality offices for sale and rent within greater Exeter – attracting in excess of 40 businesses on to a unique work, live and play campus. With a range of options to suit most small to medium business the flexible rental and leasehold options in a lifestyle setting are a compelling option. Businesses will benefit from 1 Gb/s broadband, naturally ventilation, low energy lighting and a range of serviced or managed options to suit their need. With access to the extensive range of lifestyle and leisure opportunities the welfare and well being of employees can be prioritised without compromising business need.

Bringing the Grade 2* Listed Winslade Manor back in to use and securing its long-term future is central to the redevelopment plan. Winslade Manor will offer the very best in serviced offices with access to the well appointed business club with its meeting rooms, dining room and bar. Concierge service completes the offering. The adjacent Winslade House brings luxurious managed offices with a shared reception area and communal spaces. And for this businesses looking to purchase with flexible terms on long leasehold Clyst House and Brook House are being reappointed to the same high standard of finish. All business users will have the opportunity to benefit from the sites facilities, which include ample allocated parking, vehicle charging points, bicycle parking and changing rooms within the office buildings.

What Else?

As you would expect, the public consultation goes into detail on how the landscape will benefit from the development, access and transport details, environmental considerations, mitigating any impact on the ecology and wildlife, flooding, drainage and utilities, and sustainability. The proposed timeline for development is also included.

The linked PDF is full of important and useful information about Burrington Estates’ ambitious, exciting plan to redevelop Winslade Park. Over the coming weeks we will look in detail at some of these broader aspects to ensure the community is as well informed and confident in the future as possible.
